30 Days of me - DAY THIRTY!!!

Day 30 - Your favorite Song
I can't believe this 30 Day blog challenge is coming to an end today. Even though I didn't want to keep up with it everyday and some times didn't want to do the assigned question, I have enjoyed posting so frequently and it has given me added drive and motivation. So I will keep posting often but certaintly not everyday.

Its hard to pick just one favorite song. So I will cover many of my favorites from past and present.
Some of them are:
"Stir it Up" - Bob Marley
"Yellow" - Coldplay
"Bad" - U2
"By Your Side" - Sade
"Lazy Eye" - Silversun Pickups
"Love to be Loved" - Peter Gabriel
"Here We Go" - Matt Kearney
"Ain't No Sunshine" - Bill Withers
"Unchained Melody" - this was my favorite growing up, most people know it as the song from the famous pottery making/making out scene from "Ghost"
"Tell Me Something Good" - Chaka Khan and Rufus
"Hallelujah" - Jeff Buckley
"Everybody Here Wants You" - Jeff Buckley

Probably my all time favorite song is "Lover you Should Have Come Over" by Jeff Buckley. I have talked about my love of Jeff Buckley before. He had the most beautiful angelic voice, he died tragically at age 30 in 1997 and I was beyond devastated. I loved him as a fan and I will keep telling people about this incredible artist and playing his songs over and over because they are so ethereal and just lovely.
I will include the beautiful lyrics to "Lover You Should Have Come Over" here, if you have never listened to him I highly recommend you should give him a try!!

Looking out the door
I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations
As their shoes fill up with water
Maybe I'm too young
To keep good love from going wrong
But tonight, you're on my mind so
You never knowBroken down and hungry for your love
With no way to feed it
Where are you tonight?
Child, you know how much I need it.
Too young to hold on
And too old to just break free and run
Sometimes a man gets carried away,
When he feels like he should be having his fun
Much too blind to see the damage he's done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that, really,
He has no-one...
So I'll wait for you... And I'll burn
Will I ever see your sweet return?
Oh, will I ever learn?
Oh, Lover, you should've come over
Cause it's not too late.
Lonely is the room the bed is made
The open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one
Who dreams he had you with him
My body turns and yearns for a sleep
That won't ever come
It's never over,
My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It's never over,
all my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her...
It's never over,
All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter...
It's never over,
She's a tear that hangs inside my soul forever...
But maybe I'm just too young to keep good love
From going wrong
Oh... lover you should've come over...
Yes, and I feel too young to hold on
I'm much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind
To see the damage I've done
Sweet lover, you should've come over
Oh, love, well I'll wait for you
Lover, you should've come over
'Cause it's not too late.

Another favorite song of mine is "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones but sung by the Sundays.
I have always wondered what this song was about and yesterday I found an explaination on the Internet that really got to me. This song is so heart-breaking so full of love and sadness and I can see why!

According to Mick and Keith, they both went to see marianne faithfull at the hospital. She had been admited due to an overdose of drugs and alcohol, and almost died. They were standing beside here when she woke up and one of them said, Marianne we thought we had lost you. Marianne replied, "wild horse couldn't drag me away".......
I also have a new favorite song called "The Fall" by Jasmine Ash. My bff used it as the background music to a video she made and I cried the first time I heart it. So pretty and I love the lyrics so very much!! I will put a link to the video below:

"Music is said to be the speech of angels" - Thomas Carlye

“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” - Anonymous
